The Hill Of Calvary: An Invitation

The Hill Of Calvary: An Invitation

Would you like to go to the Hill of Calvary?
Where Jesus shed His blood for me
Yet, freedom and liberty resound to the highest degree
Where an unbearable price was paid, but strength resides
Oh, how we should have taken His place
But God’s grace set us free
Despite the multiple guilty pleas

Upon the wonderful Hill of Calvary
Where Jesus waits on bended knee
For us to come and see
His majestic power white as snow
As wondrous blessings flow
So that all would know
Of His never-ending love
Sent down from above
That we often feel unworthy of

His nail scarred hands hold us tight
To let us know that everything is all right
There’s no limit to how far Jesus will go
Even when we try to run
Heavenly light shines through the Son
So that we will come undone
In His presence alone

Would you like to go to the Hill of Calvary?
Come along, walk beside me
And be amazed at what’s ahead
As we let the Spirit lead

On the Hill of Calvary, be changed and rearranged
In exchange for giving up your heart
To the King who reigns forevermore
